All Rounds Results Entry

Use this form to enter results for any tournament once at least one round has been paired. Every paired round appears in a single scrollable window — no need to navigate round by round.

Menu path: Pairings → All rounds results entry…

This menu option is enabled once the first round has been paired. Use Pair Next Round to generate pairings first.

Grid Layout

Each round has its own labeled section in the scroll area. The grid columns match the main pair chart:

ColumnDescription
BdBoard number (if boards are enabled)
#Player pair number (if pair numbers are enabled)
WhiteWhite player name
Res (W)Result for the white player (left column)
Res (B)Result for the black player (right column)
BlackBlack player name

You can switch sections using the section drop-down at the top of the form.

Entering Results

Select a result button

Click a result button in the toolbar to activate it. The button stays pressed (sticky mode) so you can apply the same result to multiple rows without re-clicking.

Forfeit DrawZZForfeit draw (not available in FIDE mode)

PointerPSafe navigation — no result applied on click

The forfeit shortcuts match the main pair chart: F = forfeit loss, Z = forfeit draw, X = forfeit win.

Click a player to assign the result

The result applies from the perspective of the column you click:

  • Click on the white side (left half of the row): result is from white’s perspective
  • Click on the black side (right half of the row): result is from black’s perspective

The opponent receives the complementary result automatically.

  • Left/Right arrows toggle between the white and black result columns
  • Down arrow advances to the next row; at the last row of a round, jumps to the first row of the next round
  • Up arrow moves to the previous row; at the first row of a round, jumps up to the previous round
  • Escape closes the form

Correct a mistake

Press C or Space (or click the Clear button) to remove the current result, then enter the correct one. If you change an existing result, a confirmation dialog appears.

Double-Entry Mode (Blitz / Double-Round Sections)

Double-entry mode is active for sections set up as double-round (blitz) tournaments where DoubleEntryMode is enabled and the section is not a Fixed Roster. When double-entry is active:

  • Each row represents two games (a round pair — for example, “Rounds 1 & 2”)
  • All six toolbar buttons map to two-game combined scores:
ButtonKeyboardCombined scoreGame outcomes
LossL0 ptsLose both games
DrawD½ ptLose one, draw one
WinW1 ptWin one, lose one
Win and a Half#1½ ptsWin one, draw one
Double Win$2 ptsWin both games
Double Draw%1 ptDraw both games

Win and Double Draw both total 1 point but record different individual game outcomes in the wall chart.

The result display in double-entry mode shows combined scores: 0, ½, 1, 1½, or 2. Forfeit results show their character suffix (X, Z, or F) appended to the combined score.

Double-entry mode is not available for Fixed Roster events. For those events, enter each game’s result individually in the standard pair chart.

Section Switching

Use the Section drop-down at the top to switch between sections. The toolbar updates automatically — double-entry buttons appear only when the selected section uses double-entry mode.

Printing

Use the print toolbar at the top of the form to print, preview, or export the results grid to PDF.

Troubleshooting

Menu option is disabled

At least one round must be paired. Before the first round is paired, this option is grayed out. Use Pair Next Round to generate the first round.

Double-entry buttons not visible

Double-entry buttons appear only for sections configured as blitz/double-round with Double Entry Mode enabled. Check your section setup under Pairings setup.

Result change confirmation dialog appears

SwissSys warns you before overwriting an existing result. Confirm to proceed or cancel to keep the original result. Use the “All” option to suppress further confirmations for the current session.
