Rating Report for DWZ
Generate a DWZ (Deutsche Wertungszahl) report for submitting tournament results to the German chess federation.

About DWZ
The Deutsche Wertungszahl is the official chess rating system in Germany. The DWZ report produces a fixed-field text file in the format required by the German chess federation for rating submission.
Generating the Report
Complete your tournament
Ensure all game results are entered.
Open the DWZ report dialog
Go to Utilities → Rating reports → Germany (DWZ format)….
Enter tournament information
Fill in the required fields (event name, location, federation, arbiter, dates).
Choose a filename
Select a save location. The default file extension is .SWI.
Generate the file
Click OK. SwissSys writes the fixed-format DWZ report file.
Report Content
The DWZ file includes for each player:
- Pair number and standings rank
- Name and club/team
- Federation/country code, IDs, birth year, and rating
- Round-by-round results with color and opponent pair number
- Tournament metadata in the footer (name, location, federation, dates, arbiters)
Submission
After generating the file, submit it to the appropriate German chess federation according to their current procedures.
