Swap Primary and Secondary Databases
Use this command to instantly swap your primary and secondary databases. This makes your secondary database your primary one and vice-versa.
When to Use This Feature
This feature is particularly helpful when you:
- Frequently need to access player information from different rating databases
- Want to quickly compare player ratings between different database sources
- Need to switch between USCF and FIDE databases during registration
- Work with both current and archived player databases
How to Swap Databases
- Navigate to Database | Swap Primary and Secondary Databases
- The system will instantly exchange the database assignments
- Your registration dialogs will now search the previously secondary database first
Understanding Database Roles
- Primary Database: The default database used for player searches during registration
- Secondary Database: An alternate database you can switch to or use selectively — for example, a second USCF file with different rating types, or a FIDE database for international players
Prerequisites
You must have both a primary and secondary database configured in your environment options before using this command.
