Transferring Your License

Transferring Your License

Your SwissSys license is tied to the person or organization that purchased it — not to a specific computer. You can install SwissSys on up to two computers you own, and you can transfer your license when you get a new machine.

Installation Rights

The SwissSys License Agreement allows installation on up to two computers owned and operated by the purchaser. These installations may not be used simultaneously — concurrent use on multiple computers requires additional licenses.

This is commonly used by tournament directors who prepare events on their home desktop and run them on a laptop at the venue.

Licenses cannot be sold, transferred, or given to other people. Each license remains with the original purchaser.

Transferring to a New Computer

Remove the license from your old computer

On your old machine, go to Help → Register SwissSys, click Show Advanced, then click Clear License Information. Confirm when prompted.

See Removing SwissSys Registration for detailed steps.

Install SwissSys on your new computer

Download the latest version  and run the installer on the new machine.

Activate on the new computer

Open SwissSys and go to Help → Register SwissSys. Enter your name and activation token, then click OK.

Don’t have your activation token? Contact moc.retsorssehc@troppus with your name and original purchase information. We can look up your token.

Pre-v11.71 (Unlocking Code) Licenses

If your license uses an unlocking code rather than an activation token (versions prior to v11.71), you will need support assistance to transfer it. Unlocking codes are machine-specific and cannot be reused on a new computer without a new code.

Contact moc.retsorssehc@troppus and include:

  • Your name and original purchase information
  • The specific version you need
  • Your new computer’s Machine ID (shown in the advanced section of the registration screen)

Transfers are typically processed within 1–2 business days.
