Back to a Previous Round
Restore the tournament to the state it was in before a given round was paired, so you can redo the pairings from that point.
When to Use This
Use this command when:
- You paired a round and immediately noticed a mistake in the pairings
- A round was paired with incorrect player data (wrong withdrawal, missing entry, etc.)
- You want to re-run pairings with different setup options
Backup vs. Reload Comparison
You can also undo by reloading a backup file (File → Reload backup). This command is the preferred alternative because:
- Player changes are preserved. Any withdrawals, late entries, or other player data changes you made after the backup file was written are kept. You do not need to redo them.
- No backup file required. The backup is maintained automatically in memory during the session.
What Gets Reset
Backing up to a previous round removes the pairings (and any results) for that round and all subsequent rounds. Player registration data (names, ratings, withdrawal status) is not affected.
Results already entered for the round being undone will be lost. Make sure you want to discard them before proceeding.
