What Comes with the Installation
Included with the installation are the following files:
-
Swiss11.exe — This is the main SwissSys program, version 11.
-
Swiss11.chm — The help file for SwissSys.
-
club.txt — A practice club list.
-
demo1.sjson — A practice tournament with two sections.
-
Fixed Roster Demo.sjson — A fixed-roster style demo tournament.
-
Individual-Team Demo.sjson — An individual/team demo tournament.
-
SwissSys Tutorial Version 11.pdf — A printable, illustrated version of the tutorial.
This is the same tutorial that comes with the help file. It is in .pdf format and can be read and printed from any .pdf reader program.
-
SwissSys Languages.xls — A spreadsheet file containing menu and dialog translations.
-
Startup Tips.txt — A list of tips from experienced SwissSys users, optionally displayed at startup.
-
Guide.txt — Text for the step-by-step guide to setting up a tournament.
-
Several “Quick font styles” with the “.fnt” extension.
File Locations
-
The SwissSys folder is wherever you installed the program. The default is a subfolder under Program Files.
-
The demo files are stored in your Documents folder. Typical path:
Documents\SwissSys\SampleEvents\ -
The events folder is the best place to save your own tournament files. A good practice is to create a new, empty subfolder for each tournament.
-
Configuration and log files are stored in the SwissSys AppData folder (
%APPDATA%\SwissSys\SwissSys 11\). You should rarely need direct access to these files since SwissSys maintains them automatically.
