Club Options

This dialog appears when you use File → Club → Write/Update Club to save player data from your tournament to a club file.

The Read from Club dialog has different options for importing players. This page documents the Write/Update Club options only.

Sections to Write

Choose which sections to include in the club file:

  • Current section only — Writes only the players from the active section
  • All sections — Writes players from every section in the tournament

If the File Exists

When writing to an existing club file:

  • Update it — Merges new data into the existing club file, preserving players not in the current tournament
  • Overwrite it — Replaces the entire club file with the current tournament data

If Saving Multiple Sections

  • Save to one file — Combines all sections into a single club file rather than creating separate files per section

Ratings to Use

Select which rating values are written to the club file:

  • Listed — Uses the pre-tournament (listed) ratings
  • Post-tournament — Uses the post-tournament calculated ratings

Sort Order

Control how players are ordered in the club file:

  • Alphabetical — Players sorted by name
  • Pair number — Players sorted by their pair number in the tournament

Additional Options

  • Use default names — Uses default file naming conventions for the output club file
  • Include fees and advance byes — Writes entry fee amounts and advance bye information to the club file
  • Include section name — Adds the section name to each player record in the output
  • Include board order — Writes board order information (available only for fixed-roster team tournaments)
  • Make this the current club — Sets the output file as the active club file for future operations
