Merge Very Small Teams - Team Menu

This utility reassigns all players who are the sole member of their team into a single combined team named JOINT (full name: “Joint Teams”). This can clean up the team standings considerably for tournament directors who require a minimum of two players on a team.

How It Works

The Merge Very Small Teams function:

• Identifies all teams with only one player
• Reassigns those players to a team named JOINT (full name “Joint Teams”)
• The merged players then appear together under the JOINT team in team standings

Effect on Players

The players themselves are not removed from the tournament roster. Their team codes are changed from their original team to JOINT, and they appear collectively under the Joint Teams entry in team standings.

When to Use This Feature

This function is particularly useful for:

• Tournaments with minimum team size requirements
• Cleaning up team standings displays
• Simplifying team reports when many single-player “teams” exist
• Improving the readability of team-based tournament results
