Pair Next Round
Pairs the next round. This command opens the Pairings Setup Dialog where you can review options and make any last-minute adjustments before generating pairings.
Toolbar shortcut: The pair (shiny gears) button on the main window toolbar.
Prerequisites
- All results from the previous round must be entered before pairing the next round.
- Exception: Round Robin tournaments pair all rounds at the start.
Pairings Setup Dialog Options
The setup dialog appears before each pairing run. Key options include:
| Option | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Forced byes | Assign a specific player a bye for this round |
| Forced pairs | Force two specific players to be paired together |
| Starting board number | Set the first board number for this round |
| Accelerated pairings | Use score-boost acceleration for early rounds |
After reviewing the options, click OK to pair to generate and display the pairings.
If you realize a mistake immediately after pairing, use Back to a Previous Round to undo the pairings without losing any player changes (withdrawals, late entries) you made in the meantime.
