Entering Results

Enter results directly in the chart in one of two ways: By mouse or by keystroke.

Entering Results with the Mouse

To enter results with the mouse, click on the toolbar button at the far left above the chart that has the result you want to enter (the pictures shown represent the values). When that button is in the down position, clicking on a player gives the corresponding result to the pair.

Entering Results by Keystroke

To enter results by keystroke (which is usually the easiest), just use the arrow keys to highlight the player you want, and hit the shortcut key for the result as shown at the right of the toolbar button (L, D, W, etc.). You can also use the Enter key to give the selected player the result corresponding to the toolbar button that is currently down.

Bye Results

Bye results are modified in the same way. Just give the bye player the result for the round that you want: W for a full point, D for half a point, and so on.

Forfeits

Forfeits are given in the same way. Click on the forfeit result button (forfeit buttons are the ones marked with the red X’s), then click on the forfeiting player.

For clarity, forfeited results appear in the chart followed by a forfeit marker (“X”, “Z”, or “F”).

Double-Blitz Style Note

In the case of double-blitz style, SwissSys does not distinguish between a loss plus a forfeit loss and a double forfeit loss.

If you need to make this distinction, do so by editing the wall chart after converting the double-blitz format to a double-Swiss.
