SwissSys Activation Token Setup Guide
Once you complete your SwissSys purchase, you’ll receive an activation token via email that unlocks the full power of SwissSys tournament management software. This process works for both Standard SwissSys and FIDE-only versions.
What’s Included: Your SwissSys license includes free tournament hosting on ChessRoster — publish pairings, standings, and results online with a single click.
Your Activation Token
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive an email with your unique activation token. It will look something like this:
Your activation token will be a simple code like: ABCDEFGH
Installation and Activation Instructions
Once you receive your activation token via email, follow these steps:
Download and Install SwissSys
Download the latest version of SwissSys from the official website. The latest version is recommended, and version 11.71 or higher is required for activation token support.
Run the installer by double-clicking the Downloaded file and follow the Setup Wizard.
SwissSys is designed for Windows computers. Mac users may be able to run SwissSys using virtualization software like Parallels Desktop .
Launch SwissSys
Open SwissSys after installation is complete.
Access the Registration Menu
Go to Help → Register SwissSys from the Main Menu.

Enter Your Information
Enter your name in the “Your name” field, then paste your activation token (received via email) into the “Activation Token” field at the bottom of the dialog.
Complete Activation
Click “Activate” to complete the process. Make sure you have an internet connection during activation.

License Types
Depending on your purchase, your activation will unlock different features:
- Standard licenses: Include all pairing engines (USCF and FIDE) with no expiration
- FIDE-only registrations: Your activation will unlock only the FIDE pairing engine (no USCF pairing)
- Temporary licenses: Some activations may have expiration dates as specified in your purchase email
