Transferring License
License Ownership
SwissSys licenses cannot be transferred to different individuals or organizations. However, you can transfer your license to a new computer that you own.
Important: Licenses cannot be sold, transferred, or given to other people. Each license remains with the original purchaser.
Installation Rights
According to the SwissSys License Agreement:
“You may install and use SwissSys Version 11 on up to two (2) computers owned and operated by the person or organization who purchased the license. These installations may not be used simultaneously - concurrent use on multiple computers requires additional licenses.”
This is commonly used by Tournament Directors who prepare tournaments on their home desktop and then run them on their personal laptop.
Transferring to Your New Computer
The license agreement states:
“You may transfer your license to different computers by contacting ChessRoster support at moc.retsorssehc@troppus or by using automated license management tools available on the ChessRoster website when available.”
To transfer your license:
- Contact Support: Email us at moc.retsorssehc@troppus
- Provide:
- Your name and original purchase information
- Reason for transfer (new computer, hardware replacement, etc.)
- SwissSys version you need (if using pre-v11.71)
For Pre-v11.71 Versions: If you need to use a version prior to v11.71, please include: - The specific version you need - Your new computer’s Machine ID (from the registration screen) - Reason for requiring the older version
Purchase Verification
We verify all transfer requests to ensure proper license management. Be prepared to provide information about your original SwissSys purchase.
