Teams-only Fixed Roster Events

Teams-only fixed roster events are a hybrid between individual and fixed-roster tournaments. If you are running a fixed-roster tournament but don’t care about individual results or the individual players on the teams, this is the tournament type you want.

Advantages Over Regular Fixed-Roster Events

Regular fixed-roster events require you to:

Enter each and every player on the team
Switch back and forth between team view and player view

Teams-only eliminates that extra work.

Tournament Management

When running this kind of event, you would:

Register teams as if they were individual players
Enter team information including the team name and average rating
Pair teams and enter results as if they were individuals

Result Entry

The only difference from individual tournaments is that SwissSys will prompt you for the margin of victory of the winning team when you enter results.

This margin of victory is the same as the game points value you enter for regular fixed-roster tournaments.
