Team Roster Formatting

This dialog page controls the appearance of the team roster/standings chart. This same dialog will appear when viewing subtotals by club or other field.

Here are the options you can set:

Sorting Options

Sort - You can sort the list by standings, alphabetically, or, in the case of fixed-roster events, by game wins.

Display Options

Who to show - You can include in the chart either just the teams, the teams and the top players, or the teams and all players.

Minimum team size for display - If you don’t want to show small teams you can set the minimum size of a team for display purposes here.

Show unassigned players - If checked, SwissSys will lump any players not assigned to any team (or subtotal category) into a team labeled “NONE”.

Data to show - The checkboxes here enable or disable display of the corresponding data.

Scoring Options

Use game points for score (fixed-roster only) - This option has been moved to the Rules for Pairings dialog.

Always use ratings from round 1 - This is an option if your tournament rules determine round 1 ratings must hold for the entire event.

Rollins scoring - This fixed-roster scoring system, used by the US Armed Forces, among other organizations, awards points to players based on their place in the tournament.

For example, if there are 100 players in the section, the first place player would receive 100 - 1 = 99 points, and the second 100 - 2 = 98 points.

The team total score is just the sum of the individual Rollins points for the top scorers on the team.

This score is not used for pairing purposes, only to determine team standings.

Rate teams using rule 31C1 - Rather than simply not counting unrated players when figuring the teams’ average rating, USCF rule 31C1 assigns them 50 points below the rating of the player listed above them (or 50 points above if the player on board 1 is not rated). This applies only to fixed-roster events.
