Ratings Report for FIDE - Utilities Menu
Use this command to generate a ratings report in the format required by FIDE (World Chess Federation) for international rating submissions.
Generating a FIDE Report
Step 1: Select Tournament File
First, select a SwissSys section file from which to generate the report. This should be the file that corresponds to the last round of the tournament. For example, if it was a six-round Swiss tournament, the file would be called something like “Berlin Open.S6C”.
Step 2: Initial Configuration
- Fill out the required fields in the first dialog
- Enter tournament information and parameters
- Click the Next button to proceed
Step 3: Report File Details
After you specify a name for the report file, you are taken to a secondary dialog where you enter additional details about the event.
Step 4: Round Date Entry
Specify dates for each round of the tournament:
- Use mo/dy/year format (e.g., 03/15/2024)
- Shortcut: Enter a date and double-click a round below to copy that date to all rounds in between
- This helps quickly set dates for multi-day tournaments
Step 5: Generate Report
When you have finished entering all dates and information, click OK to create the FIDE ratings report.
