Merge Very Small Teams - Team Menu

This utility allows you to combine all teams who have only one player (the “very small” teams) into one unnamed team. This can clean up the team standings considerably for tournament directors who require a minimum of two players on a team.

How It Works

The Merge Very Small Teams function:

• Identifies all teams with only one player
• Combines these single-player teams into one group
• Clears the team codes for these players
• Removes them from individual team standings

Effect on Players

The players themselves are not removed from the tournament roster. However, their team codes are cleared and they no longer appear in team standings except as part of a group of players with no team assignment.

When to Use This Feature

This function is particularly useful for:

• Tournaments with minimum team size requirements
• Cleaning up team standings displays
• Simplifying team reports when many single-player “teams” exist
• Improving the readability of team-based tournament results
