Jagged Columns
When copying to the clipboard, most SwissSys tables can optionally take advantage of tabs to line the output up in neat columns.
If your columns are jagged or irregular, it could be due to one of three issues:
Tab Settings in Target Application
The tabs may not be set correctly in the application where you are pasting from SwissSys. You may need to experiment with the tab settings to get the best results. Consult that application’s documentation to learn how to adjust tab settings if you are unsure.
Fixed-Pitch Font Requirements
The SwissSys table you are trying to paste might not provide tabs. In this case, make sure your target application is using a fixed-pitch font such as Courier or System to get the columns to line up properly.
Name Width Settings
If you are experiencing jagged columns with the tab setting turned off (you can adjust this from the Format Options | Exports dialog), the problem may be that your setting for the default printed name width is too small for the information you are trying to print.
Solution
Adjust the default printed name width setting up to 25 spaces or greater. This setting is located in the same Format Options | Exports dialog and should resolve column alignment issues.
