Your preferences for all optional settings in SwissSys can be saved in an initialization text file (with the ”.INI” extension).

Managing Profile Files

Saving Profiles

Save your current settings at any time by selecting Save Profile from the Options menu.

Loading Profiles

Use Get Profile to retrieve a previously saved profile file.

Automatic Profile Saving

If you check the “Save profile on exit” option in the Environment Options dialog, the current settings will be saved to the master profile so that the next time you load SwissSys, the same settings will be restored.

Section-Specific Settings

You can automatically apply settings that vary from section to section every time you load a file.

Note: This feature is disabled by default because it slightly slows loading and saving times.
