Edit Commands

Most tables displayed in SwissSys have an edit menu that supports standard clipboard copy functions, similar to other Windows applications.

Copy and Paste Operations

The edit menu provides access to:

• Copy selected text
• Copy entire tables
• Standard clipboard operations

Formatting Options

SwissSys can use tabs or spaces to keep table data in neat columns:

Using Tabs (Recommended)

• Allows use of proportional fonts
• May require tab adjustment in the destination application
• Provides better formatting flexibility

Using Spaces

• Turn off tabs in Format options | Export dialog
• Should only be used with monospaced (fixed-pitch) fonts such as Courier
• Provides consistent spacing across all applications

Tips for Best Results

• When using tabs, you may need to adjust tab settings in your destination application
• For consistent appearance across applications, consider using monospaced fonts with space formatting
• Test your formatting preferences with a small data sample before large operations
