Update From Club - File Menu
The purpose of this command is to load extra information that you keep on selected players, such as club or team.
You have the option of overwriting data that is already there for your players, not overwriting it, or overwriting everything but the player ratings.
This is useful when you have loaded players from a current rating list, such as the USCF database, but want to add information you keep in a club list that is not a part of that database.
You might choose to do this if, for instance, you have family members who regularly play in your events and who you don’t want to pair against one another.
Set up a small club list by registering only those players and giving the ones who should receive special handling the same club, team, or other identifying information.
Then, by executing this command before first round pairings, you can load this specialized information and enable the appropriate pairing restriction to keep them from being matched against each other.
Note: This feature does not load any new players from the club list. It only updates information for those players that are already registered. To add new players from a club list, use File | Club | Read from club.
