Edit Club List

If you need to edit a club list manually, the text format is as follows (one set of lines per player):

Name=Fischer, Bobby
I. D.#=31415926
Rating=2825

And so on. Each line consists of a field identifier (e.g., “Name”) followed by an equals sign, followed by the player information for that field. The other field identifiers are the same as shown in the Register dialog with these exceptions:

Special Field Requirements

Advance Byes

The line for advance byes must be conveyed by entering the bye rounds on one line, separated by spaces. Add a “z” to the end of the round number in the case of zero-point byes (e.g., “1z 4 7z”).

Computer Flag

The line for “computers” is called “comp. flag=”. This is for compatibility with older club lists.

Note: The name field must come first. After that, all other fields are optional, and the order does not matter.

Usage Notes

To use with the registration import option you should keep your list ordered alphabetically, but this is not strictly required.

Use a word processor to study the sample club list, “club.txt” for an example of the proper format.
