Confirm Ratings from USCF or FIDE Site (Internet)
This command launches the Rating Search dialog and immediately performs an online rating update for all registered players.
New in v11.78: This command now uses the unified Rating Search dialog for configuration.
How It Works
This command is similar to Confirm ratings from database on the Database menu, but instead of using a local database file, it connects to USCF or FIDE websites to verify and update player ratings.
Process:
- Opens the Rating Search configuration dialog
- Immediately begins online search for all players
- Updates ratings based on current federation database information

The dialog shows a bulk update form that allows you to update entire sections or tournaments at once, displaying progress as each player’s rating is verified online.
Performance:
- Each rating check requires a separate online search
- Individual player lookups may take a few seconds
- Large tournaments may require several minutes to complete
- The process can be interrupted at any time if needed
Federation Requirements
Important: This command only works when your federation selection is set to USCF or FIDE. If the federation is set to “N/A” or another option, online rating search will be disabled.
To configure federation settings: See Environment Options - Ratings Tab for complete rating search configuration.
Dialog Display Behavior
Note: If you have recently used the Rating Search dialog, the command may immediately begin the search without displaying the configuration dialog. Settings from your previous session are automatically reused.
To force dialog display: Access the rating search settings through the Environment Options dialog before running this command.
